After being invited to join Song Club – a loose collective of musicians whose task is to write a song to a brief within a week – both 13x Golden Guitar-winning country sweetheart Felicity Urquhart and 4x ARIA award-winning Josh Cunningham (The Waifs) found in each other musical and song writing partners, and through the process, they also fell in love.

In 2021, they released their acclaimed ARIA nominated album, The Song Club, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Country Albums chart and #10 on the ARIA Album chart. The album has also earned four Golden Guitar nominations, including ‘Alt Country Album of the Year’, ‘Country Music Capital News Group / Duo of the Year’, ‘CMT Video of the Year’ and ‘Toyota Album of the Year’.

Their current single, Bogswamp, was written under the stars in the far reaches of Western Australia’s Kimberley region. Produced, performed, and recorded by the acclaimed duo in their home studio, the rollicking singalong captures a sound as timeless and Australian as staring at the coals of a campfire while the billy boils and a sky of diamonds shimmers overhead. It currently sits at #28 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart and rising.

Natalie Pearson

No stranger to the stage, Queensland-based singer-songwriter, Natalie Pearson started singing and dancing lessons as a child, and later, performed in youth groups, choirs and children’s variety shows. Taking inspiration from popular crossover pop-country artists at the time like Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes and Faith Hill, Pearson began writing her own music in her late teens and performing in cover bands.

Having garnered solid industry and fan attention in the last few years, Pearson continues the momentum with strong vocal delivery and modern country pop production by producer Jared Adlam, comparable to the likes of Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini and Cassadee Pope.

She has opened for several big hitters in the music scene, such as Lee Kernaghan, Adam Brand, Travis Collins, The Wolfe Brothers, Casey Barnes, Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont, Jessica Mauboy and Karise Eden, and has performed at Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Music Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Wonderland Spiegeltent, SugarFree Country, VDM Fest, WolfeFest and Groundwater Country Music Festival.

Duncan Toombs

For more than twenty years, seven-time Golden Guitar Award winner, Duncan Toombs has been quietly kicking massive goals in the Australian country music industry.

He’s toured and recorded with Kasey Chambers, Adam Brand and Lee Kernaghan (to name a few) and was an integral member of the Golden Guitar award winning group the Adam Eckersley Band for 3 years. He’s perhaps best known as the filmmaker behind countless great music videos at The Filmery, but recently he added one more feather to his cap, with the release of his singles, Run and Complicated featuring vocalist and drummer Lozz Benson.

Toombs is thrilled to be finally sharing his own songs with the world, including the 12 original songs about his life, family and love set to feature on his forthcoming debut album, Steel On Steel. He’s currently on tour including solo shows and dates with Lyn Bowtell, Drew McAlister, Mike Carr, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole and his brother Andy as The Toombs Brothers.

Brittany Maggs

A country girl at heart, emerging country singer-songwriter, Brittany Maggs grew up in Sydney’s North West and loves spending time on the family property with her horses. After spending four years in Los Angeles developing her sound, Maggs decided it was time to come home to Sydney, where she has since been working on her original music. Earlier this year, she performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and opened for the McAlister Kemp Tour.

Her current single Carefree follows the release of her earlier singles, Reasons (2019), Lazy Boy (2019) and Underneath The Sheets (2020). The 23-year-old has gained an impressive following on social media, boasting more than 40 million views on YouTube and more than 380,000 fans on TikTok. She will open for Adam Brand’s Cowra show this Friday, October 14.
