Emotive, powerful, and authentic. These are just some of the words to describe the latest offering from Australian country artist Will Day. Co-written with his wife Skye, We Got This is a reflection on the hardships we have all faced over the last few years. Whilst it touches on heartbreak and turmoil, the goal is for the track to encourage listeners to realise that no matter what, any challenge can be faced and regardless of all the outside noise, we all can find the strength to overcome it.

Will says, "After spending the better part of two years constantly hearing about all the negativity in the world, my wife and I wanted to pen a song of hope. The message being that time goes on and we’re pretty tough, we can get through all of it, fires, floods, drought, the pandemic and all the pressure those things bring. We hope it touches people, brings them together and creates a strong sense of unity."

The music video, which premieres online today exclusively on Countrytown, was filmed and directed by Jay Seeney at Blacklist Productions, following its debut on CMT Australia last week.

We Got This was produced by ARIA and Golden Guitar Award winning producer Matt Fell and follows a string of chart-topping singles over the past 12 months. With high rotation adds on major stations such as KIX Country, iHeartCountry and ABC Country has resulted in constant chart success including landing at #5 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart with single Simple Then (with Brooke Schubert) and multiple singles from Will’s debut album Countrified hitting the KIX Country Hottest 20 Chart.

Growing up in the small rural town of Goondiwindi, Will grew up listening to some of the great musical influences of our time on family road trips where his parents would play the likes of James Taylor, The Eagles, Paul Kelly and Cat Stevens. His first public performance was in a local talent quest at 14 years old. Later discovering artists like Keith Urban, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks led to Will releasing his five-track, self-titled debut EP in 2016.

2019 was a breakout year for Will with the release of The Real World, which reached #1 on Australian Country Radio, and the summer anthem Here to Party. He also performed on the main stage at The Gympie Music Muster in the talent search grand final.

The remainder of 2022 will see Will delivering his high energy show to crowds along the eastern seaboard, with performances scheduled for festivals such as Texas Country Music Festival and events such as Warwick Rodeo, Lights on the Hill in Gatton, QLD as well as interstate touring.

In further news, Will has just been announced as a semi-finalist in the Nashville-based 2022 'Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition' for his hit single Simple Then out of just under 7,000 entries worldwide, co-written with his producer Jared Adlam and released in 2021.
