Rising country pop singer-songwriter, Chelsea Berman, has released her latest single, Going There.

Produced by Rhys Zacher and co-written by Chelsea with Canadian songwriters, Lydia Sutherland and Aaron Pollock, the sassy song is about going back to the wrong person countless times, making bad decisions, and asks the question, "Why do I keep going there?"

The music video, where premieres today exclusively on Countrytown, was directed by Jake Davey and shot at The Joker and Thief in Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast, which provided the perfect neon pink backdrop for the sassy song.

Chelsea says, “It was so fun to work with my good friend Jake Davey on this clip and create a storyline around the song. We filmed parts of it at my house, which was great to have elements of my life weaved into the clip, and I had some great friends help me out as extras.”

The rising singer-songwriter started performing at the age of 8. Since then, Chelsea has toured extensively and shared the stage with artists including Travis Collins, Brad Cox, Amber Lawrence, Kirsty Lee Akers, The Viper Creek Band, Melanie Dyer and Hurricane Fall.

She released her debut EP, Better Than Ever in 2018, which reached #4 on the iTunes Country Albums chart. The following year, Chelsea was a Toyota Star Maker finalist at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, won the Market the Music ‘Emerging Artist Scholarship’ and an elusive endorsement from Fashion label Racy & Lucky.

Hot on the heels of these achievements, her fan favourite single Kiss Me Like You Miss Me was released and positioned her music up against the best in the business. That track has now seen over 100,000 streams combined and was added to the ‘New Music Nashville’ playlist.

Her 2021 EP, Can You Just Not hit #1 on the iTunes Country Album chart and #5 on the iTunes All Genres chart, and features the title track as well as Your Call and Waste My Time, which peaked at #22 on the Countrytown Music Network Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart. Chelsea also released the party track Tastes Like a Hangover in late 2021, which has amassed over 120,000 Spotify streams and was added to various playlists across Spotify and Apple Music.

In 2022, Chelsea released her previous single Break Up With A Friend which has had over 200,000 Spotify streams – and is her most successful streaming song to date. After playing sold out shows across the East Coast of NSW with Jake Davey, Chelsea is currently planning a 2023 tour.
