Australian country and pop music favourites Lee Kernaghan, Sheppard, Max Jackson, and Kairos Kin lead the new, exclusive tropical North Queensland event, Savannah Sounds On The Reef.

The intimate and exclusive concert is set to be unique, a floating gig on the Great Barrier Reef that will support recovery efforts following Cyclone Jasper. The event will act with two goals: to raise awareness for the Savannah In The Round music festival and to celebrate community heroes on the Great Barrier Reef.

On Saturday, 27 April 2024, music and nature will meet on Reef Magic’s state-of-the-art floating pontoon off Cairns.

Tickets to Savannah Sounds On The Reef are limited and reserved for community heroes who will be nominated via a competition. The search for community heroes nationwide has begun today and closes on 19 April.

Community heroes are those who participated in flood and cyclone clean-up, those who assist in keeping the local environment clean, and those who care for others. You can find more ticketing details on the Savannah In The Round website.

As well as celebrating community and offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Savannah Sounds On The Reef will reveal the final line-up announcement for this year’s Savannah In The Round festival, adding approximately a dozen new names to the already star-studded event—including a newly announced headliner.

Lee Kernaghan said about his performance at the epic event, “I’m proud to be a part of Savannah Sounds on the Reef to acknowledge all the community heroes across the country who lean in to support their fellow Aussies when volunteering in the times their help is most needed.”

“I can't think of a better way to celebrate these true national heroes than putting on an awesome gig for them on the Great Barrier Reef in Tropical North Queensland!”

Sheppard added, "We're thrilled to be returning to the Tropical North for Savannah Sounds on the Reef this April. Playing on what might just be the world's most stunning stage, with breathtaking views of one of the seven wonders of the world - it'll be the experience of a lifetime.”

Last month, the 2024 Savannah In The Round line-up grew with the addition of international headliner Kip Moore. You can check out the full line-up here.
