More Pistol Annies More Pistol Annies

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and I don’t mean Christmas, I mean that magical month where we can blast holiday music and no one can judge us for it! Because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love Christmas music all year round?! This December, we are going to be adding our Songs of the Day to our very special Countrytown Christmas Playlist, complete with re-imagined country-style holiday classics as well as what are sure to be new festive favourites!

Two months following the release of their first ever Christmas album, Hell of a Holiday, the Pistol Annies have released a live performance music video for the lead single, Snow Globe. It’s our festive Song of the Day!

The project features ten festive originals written by members Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe, as well as their take on standards Sleigh Ride and Merle Haggard’s If We Make it Through December, plus a re-imagined Auld Lang Syne.

They say, “We couldn’t be happier we got to make a Christmas Album. Once we finally surrendered and let the Christmas songwriting spirit take over, we were so inspired and felt that magic on every single one of these songs. We hope to be a part of so many people’s Christmas memories for years to come.”

Pistol Annies will be performing songs off of their new holiday record on Facebook live this Thursday, December 16 at 11am AEST. You can tune-in to see performances, hear the Annies talk about their favourite memories and the making of their record, with the show benefiting Music Health Alliance
