This month, for the first time since 2019, Sounds Australia will return to AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, USA and Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany to host showcases and networking events for Australian artists and managers to connect with the international music industry.

From September 13 – 17, Nashville will fill with the sounds of Americana, roots, folk, country, blues, and soul-based music. Thousands of artists, fans and industry from across the globe with gather in the city for AMERICANAFEST, featuring seminars, panels and networking opportunities during the day and intimate showcases at night.

For over a decade, Sounds Australia has been supporting Australian Americana artists at the festival, and in 2022 there will be three showcases featuring 15 Australian acts: Al BackstromCatherine Britt, Colin Lillie, Fanny Lumsden, Georgia State Line, Helen Townsend, Henry Wagons, Katie Bates, Kingswood, Lachlan Bryan, Lozz Benson, Mark Wilkinson, Melody Moko, The Weeping Willows and Tim Bowen.

Following on from a hugely successful 2019 when Australia was the official partner country, 10 Australian artists will showcase at this year's Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg: Alex Lahey, Bec Sandridge, Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Greatest Hits, Hatchie, Hazlett, HighSchool, Josh Cashman, Kingswood and Merci, Mercy. Taking over venues all around the Reeperbahn, the street and entertainment precinct in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, the festival will run from September 21 - 24.

Sounds Australia will once again return to Molotow to host THE AUSSIE BBQ on Friday September 23, with Australian artists showcasing across two stages.

After two years of Covid-enforced lockdowns, border closures and cancellations, coupled with growing international revenue for Australian artists and songwriters, there's never been a more vital time for our acts and managers to be connecting with the global music industry.

As well as AMERICANAFEST and Reeperbahn Festival, Sounds Australia will be representing Australian music this month at Going Global in Auckland, Zandari Festa in Seoul, BreakOut West in Calgary and All That Matters in Singapore.
