Luke Bryan has taken to Instagram and shared a hilarious video – considering the circumstances – to share that he and fellow country music star Jason Aldean’s plane was forced to make an emergency landing as it struggled with equipment issues.

Speaking from a Dairy Queen drive-thru, Bryan talked about the incident that occurred while the pair were in St. Louis for the annual Archery Trade Association event.

“We duck hunted this morning. We flew to St. Louis. We landed. We did the ATA Show with Buck Commander,” Bryan began, with Aldean noting, “And we were supposed to get back on the plane, fly back; it was gonna be a 30-minute flight. Easy, easy.”

But it wasn’t so simple. Bryan explained, “It was so cold. In St. Louis, it’s like, 16 degrees, wind was blowing 40 miles an hour. Some of the instruments on the plane were not (working)… so we had to turn and land. And yeah, it was a little tense.”

Describing just how tense – and scary – the situation was, Aldean added, “Our plane, we thought, was gonna fall out of the sky.”

Once the plane landed, Bryan and Aldean rented a car and stopped at Dairy Queen for an abundance of chicken fingers and burgers.

In good spirits, Bryan summed up their adventures with a laugh: “Now we’re on I-55, at a Dairy Queen, we’re getting some chicken fingers, I just peed beside the road, and Jason’s the driver.”

And why was Aldean the driver? “Because I don’t trust you to drive,” he told the One Margarita singer. We’re relieved to hear that the pair are safe.

You can watch the video below.

Last September, Billboard reported that Bryan would team up with NFL player Peyton Manning as co-executive producer for the upcoming new documentary series It’s All Country.

While the series doesn’t have a release date attached to it, It’s All Country will examine “the iconic songs and artists that changed the face of country music forever” and “highlight the cultural impact and memorable performers and performances that make country music an American and growing global sensation”.

It’s All Country isn’t Bryan’s first venture into documentaries. In 2021, he outlined his epic road to stardom in the series Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary.

Last year, Jason Aldean came under fire after releasing the controversial music video for his single Try That In A Small Town, which saw the American country singer standing before a church with an American flag draped over the entrance.

What made headlines, however, was the video’s weaving of real-life footage of flag burning, protests, and a robbery at a convenience store. Aldean has denied “pro-lynching” allegations as the footage was reportedly filmed at a Columbia, Tennessee courthouse at the site of a 1933 lynching.
