Mitchell Tenpenny and fellow artist Meghan Patrick are officially married. The couple tied the knot at a friend’s farm in Tennessee on Sunday, October 23, officiated by Mitchell's long-time family friend and high school football coach, Scott Tillman.

Tenpenny shared an image of the couple sharing a kiss, captioning, “I can’t wait to spend forever with you.” In the photo, he wears a green jacket, dark jeans, bolo tie and white cowboy hat, while she dons a bohemian Rue de Seine dress and custom Lucchese snakeskin boots.

Patrick told People, "We knew we could have our dreams and our relationship work together — we are each other's best friend."

To celebrate, Patrick released the wedding version of her song My Left Hand featuring Tenpenny.

The couple started dating about five years ago and got engaged last November at Losers Bar & Grill in Nashville where they first met.

Tenpenny said, "I had a whole speech planned and it disappeared [in the moment]. I wasn't able to say everything I wanted to. I was nervous — and relieved. She was crying, I was crying. All I wanted was to hear her say yes!"

Patrick added, "I also thought there would be all these things I would have said and all I could get out was 'Yes!' Then we both awkwardly stumbled around trying to get the ring on my finger."

Born and raised in Nashville, Tenpenny began his career writing songs for other artists. He released his debut album and single of the same name, Black Crow in 2015. He followed that up with his 2017 EP, Linden Ave as well as his self-titled EP and second album, Telling All My Secrets in 2018, which peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. He also has two holiday releases – Neon Christmas (2020) and Naughty List (2021).

Last year, Tenpenny teamed with Chris Young for At The End Of A Bar and RaeLynn on Get That All The Time off her second studio album, Baytown. He was also nominated for ACM's ‘New Male Artist of the Year’ and CMT's ‘Breakthrough Video’ (Drunk Me) in 2019.

In 2022, he teamed up with Christian artist and former American Idol finalist, Danny Gokey on a new version of his song Bucket List and released The Low Light Sessions EP in April. He released his third studio album, This Is The Heavy, in September.

Tenpenny said at the time of release, “It’s big. It’s loud. It’s in your face and drum heavy. The project finds its own lane between a little bit country, and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and is without a doubt meant to be turned up.”

Mitchell is slated to play CMC Rocks QLD in March next year alongside headliners Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band – in their only Australian appearance – and Kip Moore.
