Gabby Barrett Is Pregnant With Her Third Child

Country singer and American Idol alum Gabby Barrett is pregnant with her third child.

Expecting her third baby with her husband, fellow American Idol star and musician Cade Foehner, Barrett shared the news in a surprise announcement on Instagram.

The couple met on season 16 of American Idol and got married in October 2019.

Sharing a series of photos of herself with Foehner, the post was captioned “SWIPE for a surprise” with “#livingthedream” alongside some happy emojis.

The 23-year-old mother revealed two nearly identical photos, with the second containing “Baby No. 3” in minimalist text and a video of herself listening to the baby’s heartbeat.

Congratulations to the happy parents! Countrytown wishes Barrett a smooth pregnancy.

Barrett is currently pushing her latest single, Glory Days, to country radio in the US. The single marks her comeback following her 2020 breakthrough album, Goldmine. You can watch the music video to Glory Days below.

In January 2021, Barrett’s first child, daughter Baylah May, was born. Her second child, a son, Augustine Boone, was born in October 2022. At the time of writing, Barrett hasn’t revealed if her third child is a boy or a girl.

“Motherhood is definitely my top priority out of everything,” Barrett explained in a May 2021 interview with E Online. “[Baylah’s] just my whole entire world now, and so I've just been trying to figure out that balance of having time and spending time with her and being a hands-on [mum].

While motherhood is rightly her main priority, the I Hope singer is still planning on releasing new music.

“We’ve been focusing on [my new album] a lot throughout the summer and planning for that before going on maternity leave, so as soon as I’m done touring this weekend, in September, we’re going to be doing a lot of recording,” Barrett told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in August 2022. “We should have a lot of the second album done by the end of next month.”
