Married country music artists, Cass Hopetoun and Blake Dantier have welcomed their first child.

Hopetoun shared the exciting news on social media, “So far, she’s a cutie patootie and specialises in amazing facial expressions. I’m obsessed with her and somehow even more obsessed with Blake after seeing him hold her for the first time and every time since…️”

The post received well wishes from fans and fellow country music artists including Fanny Lumsden, Andrew Swift, Andy Penkow and more.

Lumsden said, “Ohhhh beautiful news! Congrats guys️!” while Swift commented, “This is the absolute best! Congratulations you two. love you both and can’t wait to meet the little angel!”

In January, the couple first announced they were expecting. While at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, Hopetoun shared a cheeky snap of her bump on show, captioning, “Too many croissants or baby on the way? Guess we’ll find out in March 😏 #bumpontour”

In December 2022, the couple announced they had secretly tied the knot in 2021.

She shared on social media, “SURPRISE. On the weekend we got to celebrate our wedding day with our favourite people on the planet. However, what everyone there didn’t know is that we were also celebrating our nearly 1-year anniversary! On New Year’s Eve 2021, Blake and I officially tied the knot and somehow managed to keep it a secret for an entire year.”

Hopetoun captioned along with the hashtag #notyourtypicalbride referencing her debut album, Not Your Typical Bride, featuring her hit single, Typical Bride, which reached #1 on the Australian Country Charts.

In our interview with Hopetoun in 2020, she said, “I see a traditional bride as someone who wears white and follows all the traditions, like a template of how the wedding day should run. Whether that’s having the ceremony in a church, then going back, doing speeches, throwing a bouquet and garter toss, things like that. I just want the ceremony to be about us and then I want to join a party, so that formal stuff wouldn’t be happening."

She continued, “I want it to be uniquely for us. We’re thinking a New Year’s Eve wedding, something that’s like a giant party - a whole lot of fun, a lot of drinking and a cute little ceremony beforehand.”

Hopetoun also revealed that she broke the mould by proposing to Dantier.
