Also in the campaign is model Bella Hadid, activist and model Bethann Hardison, athlete, motivational speaker and personal trainer Femita Ayanbeku, model Valentina Sampaio and athlete Rose Namajunas.

On October 5, the Sober & Skinny singer shared an empowering message via social media alongside a video of her in her underwear, shot by photographer and director Harley Weir.

“Being a plus size woman, I just didn’t see a whole lot of people that looked like me represented in music,” Spencer says in the video. “I used to tell myself good things wouldn’t really happen for me until I looked more beautiful. There are so many ways to be and feel like a woman.”

She captioned, “For a long time, I internalized the stigmas, limitations and unreasonable beauty standards echoed around the subject of size/weight and beauty. I don’t claim to be way above this now, but like most of you, I’m journeying through… learning and unlearning a lot. None of us, no matter the body type, are too big or small to take up space in this world just as we are, in the bodies we’re in, because beauty is undefinable.”

Spencer is set to play CMC Rocks QLD in March next year alongside headliners Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band – in their only Australian appearance – and Kip Moore.

Spencer has been enamoured with country music ever since she discovered The Chicks as a 15-year-old. She moved from Baltimore to Nashville in 2013 to pursue her dream of writing and performing country music. She first gained attention via social media, after her cover of The Highwomen’s Crowded Table was praised and retweeted by Maren Morris and Amanda Shires

Her 2021 single Sober & Skinny followed her 2020 EP Compassion, which garnered over 6 million streams across all platforms. Spencer has toured, opened for and/or performed with artists such as Carrie Underwood, Willie Nelson, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Reba McEntire and Megan Thee Stallion, to name a few.
