Amy Sheppard Was Orca In 'The Masked Singer Australia'
Amy Sheppard also dropped the news that the family band will release their fourth album soon.

Amy Sheppard, one-third of the family band Sheppard and a country music solo artist, was unmasked on last night’s episode of The Masked Singer Australia (24 October).
Despite delivering a lovely rendition of the Fleetwood Mac classic, Dreams, the in-studio audience demanded that the singer be revealed and subsequently eliminated from the competition.
None of the judges guessed Sheppard’s identity correctly, throwing out numerous names, including The OC actress Mischa Barton, Young Divas’ Kate DeAraugo, actress Daryl Hannah, or a member of the Dixie Chicks.
“I’ve been doing my solo country music project. I’m still doing Sheppard, that’s still going, we’re about to release our fourth album,” Sheppard said when judge Chrissie Swan asked about her solo career.
“But I decided that I wanted to discover who I was as an artist outside the band. So, this has been a great platform for me to do that.”

Taking to Instagram this morning, Sheppard wrote about her time on The Masked Singer Australia, “It was one of the most exciting experiences of my career, and now the secret is out! I’ve loved performing as Orca and joining the global Masked Singer family. Hope you loved it too!”
Sheppard’s unmasking on the popular Channel 10 series aligns with the news that her latest single, Overthinking, has leapt to #16 on the Countrytown Singles Chart.
Amy and her siblings, George and Emma Sheppard, recently moved from their home in Brisbane to Nashville. The band announced their move to the States in August, but not before performing at the Melbourne Royal Show and delighting their fans on the Gold Coast with a two-week residency at Queensland’s Warner Bros Movie World.
“It’s a big risk, but we feel the Sheppard sound and brand have evolved enough for us to make the move and commit a few years to this,” Amy said in a press release. “We will definitely be coming back and forth, so our Australian audiences will still be seeing us!”
Amy Sheppard is the latest person to be unmasked on this year’s season of The Masked Singer Australia, following the reveals of La Toya Jackson as Burger Gal, Pete Murray, Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze, Summer Warne (Shane Warne’s daughter), Ten newsreader Sandra Sully, and actor Brian Austin Green.
