Find Your Music by Brittany Elise - Video Premiere

We penned Find Your Music by Brittany Elise as our Song of the Day last month. Since then, it debuted at #27 on the Countrytown Music Network Hot 50 chart. Coincidence, mayyybeee, but we’re claiming partial credit anyway. Today, we’re delighted to premiere the music video for the fun, feel-good track made to echo around the summer airwaves.

Directed by Brittany and Kirsty Johansen, and edited by Brock Daubert from The Filmery, the video explores every day people just doing what they love. The video was filmed in central Queensland region, including Tannum Sands, Boyne Island, Gladstone, Yarwun, Elliot Heads and Bundaberg.

Brittany says, “It was so much fun planning and directing my first film clip with Find Your Music. [It features] everyday people doing what they love, even if that means it’s outside of the norms. This, combined with so much fun at my pre-launch concert, driving with some of my best mates in a stunning red mustang and featuring the beautiful central Queensland region who continuously support my music.”

Her first album Something More (which she launched in Nashville and at sold out shows throughout Queensland, NSW and Victoria) debuted at #2 on the Australian iTunes Country Charts and #20 on the all genres chart. Its subsequent singles Another Day, Something More, Pit Stop and Dorothy May also charted.

Her previous single, A Simple Plan reached #1 on the 2020 Australian iTunes charts. The song was written for Mr. Keith Payne, Australian Victoria Cross recipient and released at his Civic Reception in Queensland, to mark the 50th anniversary of his action in Kon Tum Province Vietnam.

Last year, Brittany was shortlisted as a Finalist for the Patti McKinnon ‘Up and Coming Artist’ Award at the ICMA Australian Awards. In 2021, she started the initiative of ‘Raise Your Voice’, a show empowering local female singer-songwriters, whilst bringing local community women together.

Find Your Music is off Brittany’s forthcoming album, set for release later this year.
