That Spell’s Gone is the lead track from Vixens Of Fall’s debut album, Magick in the Chaos. Released in May, the crowd-funded debut landed at #1 on the Australian iTunes country charts and #11 on the All Genres chart and has had over 1 million streams to date.

Written with the spellbinding ingredients that is the enigmatic writing team of the Vixens of Fall, Rod McCormack, Templeton Thompson and Sam Gay, That Spell’s Gone is a love spell gone wrong.

“Everyone wants to be enchanted and feel a sense of Disney whimsy; so, when you meet a person who makes your heart flutter... you want to do everything in your witchy western powers to make it happen,” said Vixens Of Fall. “But there are always sacrifices that need to be made and it may very well be heart break."

The accompanying music video premieres today exclusively on Countrytown.

The record, sonically, has strong roots in country rock, with plenty of whimsy and feminine energy accenting the overall sound throughout. Produced by the Vixens long-time producer Rod McCormack at The Music Cellar and featuring co-writes across many tracks alongside the likes of Gina Jeffereys, Sam Gay, Templeton Thompson and Max Jackson.

Thematically, the record draws upon witchy-western aesthetics that are true to the sisters’ stylistic inspiration, creating moments of dark brooding weight, through sparkly effervescent light; black or white magic where the moment calls for it, and plenty of chaos, fun and energy to boot.

"Magick in the Chaos has been a LONG time coming! Through these past few years of exploring and immersing ourselves in what we wanted to build into this record, both sonically and thematically, we have arrived at this moment feeling ready to cast our spell on the world and offer up the FULL Vixens of Fall experience,” the sister trio said of their journey toward releasing Magick in the Chaos.

Vixens of Fall are currently on a Queensland wide tour through until July supporting the release of Magick in the Chaos. For more information, head to vixensoffall.com.

Comprised of sisters Nina, Wren and Lulu, Vixens Of Fall were born and raised in the tropical north city of Cairns. Following the release of their debut EP, A Love Like Ours, they moved to Brisbane in 2000 and started their professional singing career at the Urban Country Music Festival in 2016 and have since made regular appearances at the Gympie Music Muster and Tamworth Country Music Festival.
