Contemporary country singer-songwriter, Bryce Sainty releases his new EP, Hometown, today, featuring his recent hits This Summer’s The One and Just Chillin’. Bryce has teamed up with Fender to give away a free guitar in celebration of the EP release – find out more here.

Following the success of his 2018 breakout single, Never Going Back as well as Eleven Eleven, co-written with Morgan Evans, Bryce performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on the main stage as part of the huge 'Live and Loud' concert. He has also performed at some of Nashville’s most iconic songwriting venues including The Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room Café.

The CMAA Academy of Country Music graduate was named an ‘artist to watch’ by Spotify in 2020, where he has over 2 million streams to his name. His 2020 catchy track, On The Weekend reached #11 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart, which followed the singles, Do You Remember, Never Going Back, Table For Two and Goodbye.

He released Just Chillin’ in 2021. He also joined Kora Naughton on the duet Last This Summer, from her 2021 album, Nineteen. His single, This Summer’s The One followed in early 2022, which peaked at #4 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart. Co-written with The Wolfe Brothers, the upbeat track showcased Bryce’s return to his country roots.

Bryce said, “I am so excited to share everything I have been working on. For a long time, I have been releasing single after single working on my sound and direction and with the latest songs, I really feel like I have found a happy place with my music.”

We’re so delighted to bring you this exclusive track by track, as Bryce Sainty talks us through each individual track: the creation, sentiment, and everything in between.

1. This Summer’s The One

A fresh energetic song that is destined to be the soundtrack to all your summer adventures. This Summer’s The One has seen major success charting at #4 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart. It was the number one most downloaded song on PlayMPE across all genres in its opening week and has been streamed more than 200,000 times.

Bryce says, “I wrote this song with my long-time writing partners Melanie Dyer and Phil Barton. We wanted to create an upbeat energetic song that captured the summer atmosphere. This song represents the freedom of summer and provides a soundtrack to all the summer adventures.”

2. Just Chillin’

A track that brings all the vibes, Just Chillin’ creates the perfect soundtrack for cruising along in your car. Co-written with The Wolfe Brothers and featuring Nick Wolfe on lead guitar, this song has an anthemic chorus guaranteed to have you singing at the top of your lungs. Streamed over 250,000 times and a semi-finalist in the ISC International Songwriting Competition, Just Chillin’ also featured in the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart.

Bryce says, “This was the first track I wrote for the EP. I have been working for a while trying to find the style of country music I wanted to create and, once I recorded Just Chillin’, I knew that this is the direction I wanted to follow and from there, we began working on the EP.”

3. Hometown Anthem

Hometown Anthem is a punchy contemporary country song wrapped in catchy hooks and feel-good riffs that instantly make you reminisce about your hometown. Co-written with #1 US songwriter Phil Barton and Australian country artist Melanie Dyer, Hometown Anthem embodies the warmth of growing up in a small town. Hometown Anthem is the title track of the EP.

Bryce says, “When writing this song I wanted to share the stories of my hometown and create and experience for the listeners that enabled them to reflect on their hometowns.”

4. Love Doesn’t Work Like That

Love Doesn’t Work Like That is a smooth mid-tempo vibe track that could be described as if John Mayer went country. Featuring smooth vocal melodic lines, pedal steel and dobro riffs, this is the perfect track to get lost in. Love Doesn’t Work Like That was the bonus grad track when the EP was announced and has already achieved over 70,000 streams in 3 weeks.

Bryce says, “I loved writing this song. I wrote this with my producer Rod McCormack and Nashville songwriter Sally Barris. When we were creating this song, it was all about making something that had a relaxed feel-good energy.”

5. Sunday Best

A piano ballad with lyrics as delicate as the melody, Sunday Best is an outright unapologetic love song that transforms the entire EP. Filled with rich tones and an emotional melody, Sunday Best features an amazing vocal performance.

Bryce says, “This is by far my favourite song I have written. I wrote this with Rod McCormack and Sally Barris and to me, this song sums up why I wanted to switch from releasing individual singles to an EP. I wanted to create music that really meant something to me, and I wanted to share not only the upbeat songs that I love releasing but also the kind of songs that make you fall in love with music and for me when we wrote this, I fell even further in love with music.”
