The show will go on for the Zac Brown Band, with the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band continuing ‘The Comeback Tour’ as scheduled.

Brown wrote on Instagram, “’The Comeback Tour’ dates will continue as planned this weekend! Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding. We’ll see you Friday night, Jacksonville.”

The news follows last week’s announcement that frontman Zac Brown had tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the cancellation of four US tour dates.

He announced, “I have made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s 'The Comeback Tour.' Despite taking precautions, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job. The bottom line is that I want to take every precaution to put the health and safety of our fans and crew first."

In 2020, the Zac Brown Band were forced to cancel their 2020 tour and lay off 90% of their staff due to the coronavirus.

Brown told CNN, "It's just the right thing to do. You know, keeping everybody safe is priority one. It has been really hard. I absolutely adore all the people that work with us and this is the first time that I've not been able to provide for them. Not be able to provide them with employment and keep them on. I operate a lot differently than most people. Most people just hire the role for the time they are touring and then (they are) off. But the majority of my people are salary all year."

Brown went on to say, "This is really strange circumstances because normally under pressure entertainment and music always survives. People want to feel good. They wanna come out and see music and we wanna be able to be there as a beacon to help remind them that everything is going to be OK during hard times, but this has been crippling because people can't gather together."

Throughout their career spanning over a decade, Zac Brown Band has had 6 consecutive albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and 5 consecutive albums debut at #1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Since their debut, Zac Brown Band has developed a reputation with critics and fans alike as one of the most dynamic live / studio acts, marked by strong musicianship and a creative range that defies genre boundaries. To date, the band has won 3 Grammys, sold over 30 million singles, 9 million albums, amassed 9.3+ billion catalogue streams and achieved 15 #1 radio singles.

Their seventh studio album, The Comeback is due for release on October 15.

Brown says, “The Comeback celebrates our collective resilience as a community. This music is about standing together and rediscovering our roots and what makes us human. We feel incredibly blessed to be back out on the road again, sharing these new songs with our fans. The only good thing about getting knocked down is The Comeback when it comes back around.”
