The Wolfe Brothers vs Casey Barnes for Christmas #1 As James Johnston Makes a Move

by admin

The Casey / Wolfies merry-go-round continues this week as radio can’t seem to make up their mind which they love best. Casey Barnes put up a good fight to remain at the top, but it’s The Wolfe Brothers that have emerged victorious this week, taking out the Christmas week #1 with ‘Kids on Cassette’.

The big story of the week though is James Johnston’s ‘Small Town’ storming up the chart a massive 25 places as radio finally kicks in for this great track. It lands just in front of his previous #1 hit ‘Raised Like That’ which also rises this week.

Jameson Rodgers has also had a good one, re-entering the top 10 with ‘Cold Beer Calling My Name’ while Christie Lamb also hits the top 20 with ‘Up All Night’. Taylor Moss also hits a new chart peak with ‘Get it Girl’ knocking on the door of the top 10 in just her third week in the list.

The biggest new entry this week goes to Ingrid Andress & Sam Hunt with ‘Wishful Drinking’, while we also say g’day to tunes from Tania Murray, Kassi Ashton, Lucie Tiger and Ruby Gilbert for the first time.
