With the teaser giving little away, viewers have already started taking guesses on who the country singer could be. One excited fan says, “Whilst I’d love it to be Keith Urban, I think it’ll probably be Troy Cassar-Daley.” Another says, “I’m guessing it could be Adam Harvey or Keith Urban?”

Other celebrity names being thrown around include Adam Brand, Shannon Noll (who was runner-up in season 4 of the reality series), John Williamson, Beccy Cole, Hayley Jensen, Fanny Lumsden, Morgan Evans, Kirsty Lee Akers, Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan.

While Brand and Cassar-Daley have both denied their involvement, bets here at the Countrytown office would like to throw James Blundell and Pete Denahy in the ring as possible contenders.

The country star will join an Olympian, comedian, beauty queen, AFL player and chef to complete for $100,000 for their chosen charity, with more contestant teasers to be revealed.

Earlier this month on the Kyle and Jackie O show, Morris shared, “The cast that they have assembled together I think are going to generate some amazing TV for us, because there’s lots of different schools of thought going in. After COVID, where we all had various stages of lockdown and were surrounded by people that have a very like mind to you, to now be locked in with people who have very very different thoughts is going to be exciting.”

The reality series is based on the British show of the same name, which sees celebrities living in the jungle with few creature comforts and competing in various challenges to earn meals and other luxuries. Past winners include sportsman Freddie Flintoff and Brendan Fevola, singer and actress Casey Donovan, comedian Fiona O’Loughlin, entertainment reporter Richard Reid, chef and restaurateur Miguel Maestre and former The Bachelor Australia contestant Abbie Chatfield.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns on January 3, 2022 on 10 and 10play on demand.
