One of the biggest collaborations in country music to come out in 2021 is finally here – Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard’s upbeat and heartfelt song about faith and unity called Undivided. It's our Song of the Day!

McGraw first teased the project on New Year’s Eve, saying, “It’s been a rough year for all of us, full of tragedy and loss. But a New Year is dawning, and with it hope … may we enter it #UNDIVIDED!!”

According to a press release, the song is about spreading love, written by Hubbard (with Chris Loocke) while quarantining on his tour bus in his driveway after testing positive for COVID-19, leading to two weeks of isolation and reflection.

About Undivided, McGraw said, “Music gives us hope and brings us together in a way nothing else can. This doesn’t mean we don’t have work to do. Quite the opposite. I loved the positivity of this song and that it called me to check myself and to remember that love is bigger. It’s why I knew this song had to be my next single with Tyler as soon as he sent it to me."

On working with McGraw, Hubbard said, "I knew immediately when I finished it, I had to text it to Tim. He has a way of communicating with the world that is unique in music. For him to want to perform with me was an amazing feeling. The song is about coming together, and that’s exactly what we did.”

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line announced at the start of the new year their intentions to explore solo projects. They have stressed that this hiatus doesn’t mean they are breaking up, and will still be going on tour together and releasing a new album called Life Rolls On due out on February 12. Kelley will release a solo album later this year.

“We’re gonna obviously be on tour and we’re going to be singing all of the hits you guys love and trying to create more,” said Hubbard. “But in the meantime, it’s a beautiful time to be in a place to be able to venture out and to have a voice of our own and have individuality a little bit.”

Florida Georgia Line formed in 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee. Their debut single Cruise became the best-selling digital country song of all time and was certified 11x-platinum. They’ve gone on to score 16 #1 singles, sold more than 4.6 million albums worldwide and been honoured with ACM, AMA, Billboard, CMA and CMT Music Awards. Life Rolls On will be the duo’s fifth album.

Undivided will feature on the deluxe version of McGraw’s Here On Earth album, due for release later this year.
