Tyler Hubbard from American country duo, Florida Georgia Line has teamed up with TikTok sensation Lathan Warlick for the upbeat single, My Way.

More Tyler Hubbard More Tyler Hubbard

Not only has Tyler Hubbard recently dropped the uplifting Undivided with bona fide country superstar Tim McGraw and released the fifth studio album Life Rolls On as part of the duo with Brian Kelley, Florida Georgia Line; now Hubbard now has teamed up with TikTok star Lathan Warlick for the upbeat new single, My Way.

The singers had teased the track on their social media in the lead up to its March release, including a TikTok video that shows them singing along to the song in the car. Written by Warlick and Hubbard with RaeLynn, Blake Hubbard and Jarrod Ingram, and produced by The720, the track is about coming together to live everyday like a weekend.

Warlick says, “With this single, we really had it our way. It was so great working with Tyler! This song is how we’d both spend our Friday, living free and having fun.”

Hubbard adds, “I’m team Lathan all day – I was a huge fan before, and I feel like I have a new brother after this. We wanted to write a fun one that had a good, positive feel. It’s a summer jam. I just envision everybody riding around with the windows down, blasting this song, and forgetting all their worries for a little bit.”

My Way follows Warlick’s previous singles, Roots with RaeLynn and Over Yonder with Matt Stell, which has racked up 1.2 million streams so far. These two tracks, along with My Way, will feature on Warlick’s upcoming debut EP, which will also feature other country stars such as Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch, and Russell Dickerson.

The rapper from West Tennessee first gained attention through social media by creating videos of himself, which featured adding his own rap verses to popular songs such as Holy by Justin Bieber, Hello by Adele and many others. His videos caught the attention of country singer Granger Smith, who asked Warlick to add a rap verse to his song That’s Why I Love Dirt Roads in 2020.

In an Instagram post on May 27, Smith wrote, “Amber [his wife] found @lathanwarlick and showed me his insta page. He was taking popular tunes, adding his own lyrics, and completely rebranding the songs with his own stories of life, struggle, rebirth, and testimony. I loved it instantly. I reached out via DM and we hit it off right away. (And one day we’ll take our boys fishin’) This dude, through his own path, has pulled the layers back on life and sees things in a new way...with truth, integrity, and God first. I only hope that one day I can see as clearly as he does.”
