Take A Look At My Light by The New Graces - Song Of The Day

The New Graces have released their latest single Take A Look At My Light, its the fourth from their debut album 'Seasons' and it's our Song Of The Day.

The single comes just a day after The New Graces scored four nominated at the 2021 Golden Guitar Awards their evocative, warm and harmonic sound earning them nominations for Traditional Country Album of The Year, Heritage Song of The Year, Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of The Year, and New Talent of The Year.

The New Graces are Melanie Horsnell, Robyn Martin and Kate Burke; three musicians, living in the Candelo, NSW, combing their talents to produce an album that distills the life of small town Australia.

“This song is about new love between a blue eyed book loving man and a country song-writing woman, the long drives to see each other living far away and faith that it will work out. I wrote it on my Mandola so it automatically has a Celtic rolling country feel and I love singing our “take a look at my light” harmonies together at the end of the song, like driving at night, looking at stars, knowing everything will be alright” Said songwriter Melanie Horsnell.
