Six times country artists got creative with their merch

As much as everyone loves to take home a good tee, cap, jumper or stubby cooler after a rocking gig, there’s just something about the more unique merch items out there that piques our interest. From food items, surprising collaborations, face stickers and skateboards – here’s six times country artists got creative with their fan merch.

Adam Brand & The Outlaws – Skateboards

In 2016, Adam Brand teamed up with Mike Carr, Travis Collins, Matt Cornell, and Drew McAlister aka The Outlaws for a national tour and the release of their self-titled ARIA-nominated album. In terms of merch, the band released a number of limited edition pro complete skateboards. Constructed from 7 ply 100% Canadian maple using U.S epoxy construction and cold press technology for long lasting pop, strength and durability, the skateboards came pre-assembled and ready to shred. Luke Bryan – UNO Cards

To celebrate the release of his new album, Luke Bryan partnered with global toy band UNO to create a custom Born Here Live Here Die Here Deluxe Edition Card Game. He said, “UNO made these awesome custom decks to celebrate my album release. You guys have shown me so much support for this album, I decided to give away a few until we’re DOWN TO UNO.”

Luke Combs – Crocs

Launched in mid-2019, Luke Combs designed a line of Crocs shoes modelled after the first guitar he learned to play. Their second collaboration came with a fully functional bottle opener and the third (the first Classic Crocs Slide collaboration for Crocs) came equipped with a real guitar pick. All editions sold out within hours of release. In late 2020, the LC3 Fuzz-Lined Croc release included a few special edition Jibbitz charms (as seen below). Combs recently announced an additional 50 pair competition giveaway to US residents only.

Ben Ransom – Beef Jerky

Last year, Ben Ransom announced his new line of hand-made beef jerky in three flavours including original, chilli and garlic, and hot and spicy. Speaking with Countrytown last September, he said, “It’s my own recipe and it’s all done by hand by me. The idea was to sell it at concerts, festivals and shows but we’re going to sell it through the website. It’s made to order, and the orders have been coming in, so I’ve been busy pumping that out. We’re up at 4am most mornings getting it prepared and then, when I get home, packaging it up.”

Andrew Swift – Honey Pots

To coincide with the release of his single Head Full Of Honey, Andrew Swift released his own line of honey. Boasting ‘100% pure honey straight from the hives of Selby, Victoria and Gundagai, NSW’, the limited-edition Andrew Swift branded honey pots were only available at his live shows. Obviously, a hit, as Swift later shared a picture jarring up some more honey, saying, “The last batch sold way quicker than I thought they would, so I’m happy to say there’s now more in stock!”

Carrie Underwood – Tear Stickers

Directed by Randee St. Nicholas, the official music video for Cry Pretty by Carrie Underwood from the album of the same name, is intercut with scenes of Underwood in her dressing room, bedroom, shower, and limousine, where she is seen crying, including, in some scenes, glittered tears. Fans, too, can “cry pretty” with two varieties of rhinestone tear face stickers available to buy on her website here at $10 to $15 a pop.
