CountryTown is very excited to premiere the brand new track from Darlinghurst, Gotta Go Rodeo. Played first on 98.9 this morning, the track is a rollicking ride that just begs you to get up and dance.
Mixed by Grammy award winner Jack Joseph Puig, Gotta Go Rodeo sees Darlinghurst band member take control of production duties, co-producing the track with Pete Dacy at Secret Sound Studios.
The acoustic video, recorded at Secret Sound Studios, was a moment of togetherness for the band before going into lock down earlier this year.
“We didn’t realise it at the time but this wonderful afternoon
where we filmed our unplugged acoustic set live, was one of the last times
we could be together in one room. Together we experienced a taste of the
isolation that was to come.” Said band member, Pagan Newman.
Inspired by a crazy place in Moama, NSW, Cassie and Pagan from Darlinghurst are no strangers to a wild party!
“Gotta Go Rodeo is essentially about a place owned by friends of Pagan’s and mine who throw the most craziest parties. As you enter a sign reads leave your inhibitions at the gate and everyone that enters generally does that. It’s about escaping whatever’s bringing you down or holding you back and letting your hair down.”
