Taylor Swift & Cody Johnson Lead Country Nominees for 2022 American Music Awards

The 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs) have been announced, with Taylor Swift receiving the most nods – six – for a country artist.

Swift is nominated for both ‘Favourite Female Pop Artist’ and ‘Favourite Female Country Artist’, and her Red (Taylor’s Version) in up for both ‘Favourite Pop Album’ and ‘Favourite Country Album’. 

She is nominated for ‘Artist of the Year’ and All Too Well: The Short Film is up for ‘Favourite Music Video’.

Cody Johnson follows with three nominations – ‘Favourite Male Country Artist’, ‘Favourite Country Album’ (Human: The Double Album), and ‘Favourite Country Song’ (‘Til You Can’t).

Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Walker Hayes all got two nominations each. Lainey Wilson, Maren Morris, Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dustin Lynch and MacKenzie Porter, Dan + Shay, Lady A, Old Dominion, Parmalee and Zac Brown Band earn one nod each.

The 2022 American Music Awards are set for Sunday, November 20th from Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
