More Post Malone More Post Malone

Post Malone is making good on his confirmation about working on a country album, sharing a snippet of new music starring the one and only Luke Combs.

The American singer and rapper has locked in one of country music’s biggest stars, and the teaser he shared does sound great, crossing the mainstream pop and country lines with an authentic new song.

In a video shared to Instagram, Post Malone looks delighted as he almost shouts along to the new song that plays in the background, where he sings, “She’s searching for someone good who’s gonna built it back/ Ain’t got a guy for that”.

Combs sings, “No VIP up at MIT/ And they still won’t let me fly the time machine”. It’s easy to suspect that the collaborative tune is called Ain’t Got A Guy For That – check out the snippet below.

After Post Malone shared the video on social media, Combs responded with the beers clinking and fire emojis. The video has been flooded with comments from fans excited about the Circles singer/rapper getting into country.

In November, Post Malone was streaming live on Twitch when he said, “Country record is coming. I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it's so fucking sick, but it's not out.”

Post Malone previously dipped his voice into country music last October, where he performed at the CMA Awards with Morgan Wallen (who recently leaked and then deleted a collaborative track with Post Malone) and HARDY. In addition to that performance, he featured on the HARDY track Pick-Up Man, a tribute to the late Joe Diffie. The track appears on HARDY’s March 2024 mixtape, Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape.

Last month, Combs shared a poignant (and unreleased) song about fatherhood called Plant A Seed on social media.

An effortlessly moving tune, the Love You Anyway singer apologised for all the “dad” songs, but if he continues to release dad songs like this one, we hope he doesn’t stop.

In August 2023, Nicole and Luke Combs welcomed their second baby boyBeau Lee. Beau is the little brother to Tex, born on 19 June 2022.
