Southern Cross Country is officially in New Zealand as the first dedicated country music station to hit New Zealand radio.

With the ability to stream your favourite country tunes via the app on Google Play or Apple App Store, the Southern Cross Country iHeartRadio station is coming soon, too – you can listen live to the station here.

You can listen to Southern Cross Country 24/7, with continuous music playing no matter what time you go to the radio station. Local New Zealand artists, such as Kaylee Bell, will be spotlighted, while Southern Cross Country will also air exclusive interviews you won’t want to miss.

The station’s Co-Founder and Sales Director Matt Smith said in a statement, per Radio Info, “The feedback has been phenomenal! We really know we’ve hit the mark with the massive numbers of country lovers who’ve downloaded the app and are listening daily, interacting with our shows and a huge outpouring of followers and fans on our socials. We are thrilled.”

Southern Cross Country’s Co-Founder and Breakfast host Mike Puru added, “I’m a country fan from way back, and I’m so excited to be sharing my enthusiasm with Aotearoa. There are so many Kiwi country fans, with no one looking after them – so that’s what we are going to do.

“We’ve already scored some great interviews with Brad Cox and Alana Springsteen and Kiwi breakthrough artist at the CMAs, Kaylee Bell, who said, ‘This is exciting; I’ve had dreams of having a New Zealand country radio station. It’s amazing what you are doing for country music in New Zealand. Thank you!’”
