Morgan Wallen Takes The CMC Chart Week Crown

17 March 2023 | 11:58 am | Stephen Green

After touching down in Australia for CMC Rocks, Morgan Wallen will be the king of Ipswich this weekend... with a #1 Countrytown Hot 50 gong under his belt.

More Morgan Wallen More Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen's Australian takeover is complete this week as Last Night pips James Johnston's Got It Good for the number one in this week's Countytown Hot 50. Over For You also creeps back into the top 10 at #8 and One Thing At A Time and You Proof also make appearances as Wallen cements his place as the hottest name in country music.

Kiwi hitmaker Kaylee Bell also makes a big leap towards the top, crashing into the top ten for the first time at #3 with Boots and All while CMC performers Casey Barnes and Hardy also make good moves upward to round out the top five.

This week's most impressive mover is Tyler Hubbard who jumps thirty places to land at #9 with Dancin' In The Country while Zac & George, Travis Collins and The Wolfe Brothers also poke their heads up in this week's top 20.

This week's biggest new entry is also spending the weekend at CMC, Ernest with Miss That Girl while Aussie independent Dakota East also makes an impressive debut crashing straight in at #29 with Feel It. It's a huge week for new tunes with Old Dominion's Memory Lane at #32, Fanny Lumsden's Millionaire at #39, Busby Marou's Where I Wanna Be at #42, Cole Swindell's Drinkaby at #47 and Hailey Whitters' Plain Jane at #49.

We also welcome back Keith Urban, Walker Hayes, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton and Luke Combs with tracks re-entering for another run.

Will the CMC Rocks effect continue to be the driving force in next week's chart or will Kaylee Bell prove there's more going on than just country's biggest festival?
