More Morgan Wallen More Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen continues his reign, with Last Night replacing Miley Cyrus atop the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart – the same chart you’ll find bangers from Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles.

With Wallen at #1, Cyrus’ unbroken reign with Flowers comes to an end at 12 weeks.

Having recently headlined CMC Rocks QLD as well as selling out the Australian leg of his ‘One Night At A Time’ world tour, Wallen’s You Proof also sits at #27, having previously peaked at #20.

Last Night was also the first country song by a solo male to top the Hot 100 in over 42 years, following I Love a Rainy Night by Eddie Rabbitt (1980), and the first country song to top the chart since All Too Well (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift in November 2021. It currently sits at #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart after five consecutive weeks.

Continuing the theme of country music going mainstream, Luke Combs has two songs on the chart. The Kind Of Love We Make current sits at #27, while his cover of Tracy Chapman’s iconic 1988 top-ten single, Fast Car jumps from #18 to #12.

“[It’s] my first favourite song probably ever. I remember listening to that song with my dad in his truck when I was probably four years old,” Combs said via press release. “He had a cassette, a tape of it, and we had this old brown camper top F-150.”

“We rode around that thing, and he had a tape cassette player in there, and I have the original cassette – my dad brought it to me a couple of years ago… I have the one, and I have it in my shop,” he continued. “The only music I have in my shop is a cassette player. I love to go to antique stores, and just you can get a bunch of cassette tapes for 50 cents, and some of the best records of all time are on cassette.”

After electric performances at CMC Rocks QLD and opening for Wallen, Zimmerman’s Rock And A Hard Place currently sits at #42. The song also peaked at #7 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart. Additionally, Zach Bryan’s Something In The Orange currently sits at #21.
