The Gympie Music Muster will return to Queensland from 22-25 August after a hugely successful 2023 run, which saw its attendance record broken thanks to booking the hot-right-now Morgan Evans.

Over the weekend, just days after this year’s Gympie Music Muster concluded, festival organisers began teasing the next edition of the festival, confirming their first three artists, James JohnstonBrad Cox and Lee Kernaghan, for 2024. Tickets to next year’s Gympie Music Muster are already on sale.

While Wolfmother were unexpectedly absent at this year’s event, it was the vibe and camaraderie that most punters enjoyed at the 2023 Gympie, with many describing it as a return to form after a bumpy few years of COVID and recovery.

No strangers to the Muster, James Johnston, Lee Kernaghan and Brad Cox are impressive appointments to the 2024 line-up that will impress long-time Musterers and set the tone for yet another great year.

This week, we’ve gotten another taste of who else is coming to the Gympie region in 2024, and it’s none other than Beccy Cole and the Davisson Brothers Band.

The latter returned after a six-year absence in Australia in 2024, while Beccy Cole is a Gympie Music Muster ambassador and longtime favourite artist. It’ll be a special weekend for both artists.

This month, Beccy Cole will be on the main stage for the Deni Ute Muster. For over 30 years, Cole has thrilled audiences with her unique brand of music. The South Australian star’s warmth, husky tones, sense of humour, and hundred-watt smile have helped make her one of the nation’s most celebrated and beloved artists.

Last month, Countrytown hosted a live stream of the Davisson Brothers Band from the Analog at Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

In September 2022, the Davisson Brothers Band signed with Australian label Red Dog Recordings, which had already hosted Shannon Noll and Southbound xo on its roster.

The 2023 Gympie Music Muster hosted over 100 country, blues, folk and Americana acts, including Busby Marou, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Kasey Chambers, Travis Collins, Casey Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus, Melinda Schneider and The Screaming Jets on Thursday and Friday.

Saturday was led by Adam Brand, Gina Jeffreys, the one and only Morgan Evans, and Troy Cassar-Daley. Lastly, Sunday was propelled by Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Midland, Sara Stoner, and The Wolfe Brothers.

Elsewhere on the line-up, The Angels, Hayley Jensen, Ash Grunwald, Emily Wurramara, Catherine Britt, Sammy White, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Melody Moko, Southbound xo and many more featured.
