Miranda Lambert’s new cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet? Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen, has landed on the New York Times Best Seller list.

Released on April 25, Y’all Eat Yet? reached #3 on the paper’s eclectic ‘How To, Advice & Miscellaneous Books’ list. It also topped Amazon’s celebrity cookbooks and country music books charts and reached #2 on its overall bestsellers list.

“OMG y’all! I just got a call from my publishers that Y’All Eat Yet? Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen is # 3 on the New York Times Best Selling list,” Lambert shared in a teary-eyed video on social media. “I can’t actually believe that. I’m so grateful and just—I can’t believe it.”

“It’s for my Nonny in Heaven. She’s partying tonight; I know it. And I’m just beside myself that people would want to hear our stories and join our sisterhood. This is crazy,” she adds. “So, thanks to everybody who bought it and who is reading it. I love y’all—welcome to the tribe!”

Written with veteran music critic Holly Gleason, Y’All Eat Yet? features 50 recipes inspired by the important women in Lambert’s life including mother, Bev, grandmother, Wanda and friends.

Recipes include Whiskey Cupcakes, French Toast Casserole, Heidi’s Spiced Hot Crackers, Bev’s Chicken Salad, Nonny’s Banana Pudding, Nonny’s Tuna Salad and “the one thing that’ll get the ring,” The Loaf.

"All these recipes like have just been all of ours for so long," she said. "None of them are mine. I stole them all from them. But that's why I was like, 'This is not a I cookbook. This is a we all cookbook.'"

The origin for Y’all Eat Yet? goes back to being on lockdown during the pandemic. The women couldn't be together, so they had weekly Zoom gatherings where they'd play their version of a popular cooking show. They let their husbands choose an ingredient each week, and they had to make recipes that included all five ingredients. No Googling was allowed.

"It was just a way to entertain ourselves, and we called it our ‘Chopped' cook-off," Lambert said. "I was like, 'This would be fun if we put some of these recipes in the cookbook.' The enchilada bake that Heidi has in here is from that experiment. Then it just kind of grew into a bigger idea of like, 'I haven't ever had a book. I'm at that point in my career; maybe I should.'"

"It's a lot of stories about my journey to get here and the support group, which is these women that sort of held me up from when I was a child," she continued. "The first time I ever wrote one of my first was at Vicki and Heidi's house. This is just about our times together on our glamping trips.”

“A lot of those snacks were born on those camping trips. I just hope this book reminds people to spend quality time,” she continued. “You can't make old friends. You can't make old memories. I think having that core group of gal pals is so important."

In March, Lambert announced she was parting ways with her long-time label Sony after 20 years, making her a free agent for the first time in two decades. Since signing in 2004, she released 8 solo studio albums and one collaborative record (2021’s The Marfa Tapes).

In 2022, Lambert worked with Luke Combs on a duet called Outrunnin’ Your Memory from his Growin’ Up record. She also recently teased a collaboration with Dierks Bentley via social media.
