Meet Katrina Burgoyne’s New Baby

Australian singer Katrina Burgoyne, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, has welcomed a baby girl.
Her baby, expected to arrive in the first week of April, was a “late bloomer” born on the 10th of April. Taking to Instagram on Sunday (14 April), Burgoyne welcomed Poppy Rae with a series of gorgeous photos, with the final pic starring her husband—audio engineer and producer Steve Kinney—and the family German Shepherd, Eli.
“Welcoming Poppy Rae into the World,” Burgoyne wrote in the Instagram caption.
“Late bloomer, but right on time! At 35, I never felt fully ready for motherhood. Always chasing adventures and dreams, Steve and I were still figuring out life. But when the universe whispered, ‘It’s time,’ I said a prayer, and two weeks later, we unintentionally conceived.
“On April 10, 2024, at 7:20 pm, our little Poppy Rae made her grand entrance, and my world shifted forever. The love I feel for her is indescribable, and my heart has never been so full. I used to be scared, but now, I feel nothing but blessed.
“Poppy, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, Daddy, and Eli. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures with you!”

Burgoyne announced her pregnancy in late October, writing that she was planning to unveil her “greatest release yet.”
Burgoyne moved to Nashville five years ago with $15,000 and a dream. Her journey was the inspiration behind her song 25 Cents In The Ashtray. Restricted by her visa to making an income solely from playing music, she hit the ground running in the most competitive music city in the world.
In November, she released her latest single, Hubby In A Honky Tonk, followed by the heartfelt track I’m Coming Home a month later.
Co-written by Amber Lawrence during the COVID-19 lockdowns, I’m Coming Home “captures the essence of distance, reunion, and the joy of coming home” as Burgoyne saw her mother for the first time in five years in December.
