Bluesfest Announces Four Massive Tours Around 2023 Festival

A double headline bill featuring music legends Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle & The Dukes leads Bluesfest’s latest touring announcement.

The four massive shows confirmed today are on top of the seven already announced and on sale, with LP, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram and KEB’ MO’ also locking in headline dates:

Pre-sale for the above will go live next Tuesday, September 27 at 12pm AEST ahead of general on sale Thursday, September 29 at 12pm AEST.

In recent weeks, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, The Lumineers, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Marcus King, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Buddy Guy and Larkin Poe all confirmed dates around the country, with tickets for all those shows on sale now.

It’s been an absolutely huge month for Bluesfest, who released the daily playing schedule for 2023 last week following an epic line-up drop at the start of September.

Next year will be the first time since the pandemic began that Bluesfest will welcome international artists back to Byron Events Farm, with the festival running from April 6-10.

“That’s preaching to the converted; those people who have found our festival over the decades and have come to it and said, ‘This is the one I like,’” Festival Director Peter Noble said of the line-up.

“Well, that’s who this [line-up] is for. It’s like, ‘This is who I know you want to see guys.’

“To get an announcement out like this, which is basically who we are – we’re not like any other festival in Australia, we’re different – we have artists who might be able to play on other festivals, but when you put them together, that’s who we are."
