A week and a half after explaining “the worst possible situation” following the cancellation of Live Laugh Love festival at The Ranch 2.0 in Barrie, Canada, Josh Setterfield powered up and announced his debut Canadian performance.

The concert would be a co-headline show with Ty Wilson with special guest Nickola Magnolia at the Gordon Best Theatre in Peterborough, Ontario, on Saturday, 30 September.

However, the show almost didn’t go on after a serious bungle from Air Canada, which led to Setterfield posting angrily on Instagram, “You can’t make this up”.

“Our first-ever Canadian show is less than 24 hours away,” Setterfield posted on Saturday (Australian time). “Air Canada have sent our guitars, luggage, tracks rigs and everything we need to run our show, to the other side of the country in Vancouver and aren’t sure we will get it back in time.”

Setterfield updated fans and followers that “The original Canadian festival we were a part of got cancelled after we had already hit America. So we went out on a risk and put on a brand new headline show from scratch all by ourselves. (It’s selling really well for an artist that has never been to Canada and we’re blown away).

“Now all our shit is on the other side of the country and they’re not sure we’re going to be able to get it in time to put on the show.”

Setterfield ended the caption by pressing Air Canada to “PLEASE FIX THIS”, sharing a screenshot of his items linked via Apple AirTag listed as stuck at Vancouver International Airport.

All was not lost, though: Setterfield posted a follow-up image of his and the band’s car packed with their stuff. Setterfield wrote in the caption, “WE GOT OUR STUFF. “We’re on the way to our first Canadian show! See you soon!”

Setterfield recently released his latest single, Feelin’ Love. The song arrives after Setterfield performed at this year’s Gympie Music Muster before returning to his Kinda World Tour, which concluded on 30 September at Gordon Best Theatre.
