Home Free was originally formed in 2001, with various members along the way. Comprised now of vocalists Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Foust, and Adam Chance, Home Free first came to prominence in 2013 when they won the fourth season of the a cappella television singing competition series, The Sing-Off. They sang an arrangement of Hunter Hayes' I Want Crazy as their final competitive song, earning the group $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony.

Following their independent album releases – From The Top (2007), Kickin It Old School (2009), Christmas Vol 1 (2010) and Vol 2 (2010) and Live From The Road (2012), they released their first major studio album, Crazy Life in 2014.

Full Of Cheer (Deluxe) (2014), Country Evolution (2015), Full Of (Even More) Cheer (2016), Timeless (2017), Dive Bar Saints (2019), Warmest Winter (2020), Land Of The Free (2021) and The Sounds Of Lockdown (2022) followed.

The latter contains the extended version of their hit, Sea Shanty Medley, which went viral on social media. The song helped them grow their 1 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, where they’ve been actively posting videos since 2009. As of April 2023, they have 1.63 million subscribers.

Their most recent album, So Long Dixie, was released in 2022. It peaked at #17 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Their latest single, Delta Dawn – originally sung by Bette Midler in 1971 and popularised by Tanya Tucker in 1972 – features Brooke Eden.

Home Free has collaboration with many notable artists in their twenty plus year history, including Kenny Rogers, Oak Ridge Boys, Don McLean, Lee Greenwood and more.
