More Foo Fighters More Foo Fighters

Headliners of Austin City Limits festival, Foo Fighters and Shania Twain gave audiences a real treat when the latter finished her set and later appeared on stage to perform the rock classic, Best Of You.

Showing off long, bright red hair, Twain was near-unrecognisable as she took the stage on Saturday (7 October) – it was only when Dave Grohl shouted her name and encouraged her to rock out that we realised what was happening.

“This was one off the bucket list for me,” Twain wrote on Twitter this morning (9 October). “Firstly thank you to Foo Fighters for inviting me on stage - you are all so generous and ridiculously cool. I am a huge rock fan.”

In a follow-up post, Twain shared a photo of herself with the Foo Fighters – her first tweet showed her pictured on stage with the band – and wrote, “My first band was a rock band, my first big producer was one of the worlds renowned rock producers, me and my son like to rock out. Totally worth the adrenaline fuelled run from my stage to yours Dave Grohl - you are a true friend and talent”.

Foo Fighters will make their long-awaited, highly anticipated return to Australian shores this November and December. The excitement has been so high that the band announced a second and final show in Melbourne after the pre-sale met unprecedented demand, playing two nights at the massive AAMI Park.

While UK outfit Hot Milk will join them on three shows, Foo Fighters have added Australian support acts to their upcoming tour, including Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Teenage Joans, The Chats, and Body Type.

The tour supports the Foos’ recently released 11th album, But Here We Are, which earned a 4.5-star review from The Music. In it, Stephen Green wrote that Grohl “has created a pop-rock opus, delivering complex emotion through simple lyrics and melodies in a way that hits directly at the heart”.

In July, Shania Twain announced a super-deluxe reissue of her third album, Come On Over, celebrating its 25th anniversary and life-changing impact on her career.

Come On Over is remembered for its most successful singles, including You’re Still The One, Man! I Feel Like A Woman and That Don’t Impress Me Much and remains the best-selling album by a female solo artist of all time.

The Australian store selling the Come On Over super deluxe reissued vinyl includes a blue 2LP edition (sold out) and a 3LP Diamond Edition ultra clear vinyl. You can order your copy here.
