After 10 years as one of the most influential acts in country music, Florida Georgia Line has announced their first-ever Greatest Hits album, available from November 9. Pre-order here.

The 18 track LP features three previously unreleased tracks, including the duo’s newest release Life, collaborations with The Backstreet Boys, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Lele Pons and Bebe Rexha as well as, well, greatest hits including Cruise, H.O.L.Y., Simple and Dirt.

In February, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley indicated they were taking a break to pursue solo endeavours and reflected on how the past couple of years and the COVID-19 pandemic had shifted their perspectives.

“We’re in an interesting phase right now,” Hubbard said. “I think we get a new perspective on life right now. We kind of had our blinders on for 10 years of just more songs, more hits, more shows. And now obviously due to the pandemic, we’ve sort of gotten to step back and have a different perspective and enjoy family time and thinking about our future outside of music… What I plan on channelling, and I think BK is on the same page, is the next decade really diving even deeper into our passion for the craft of songwriting… I think we want to invest in younger artists, and we want to create a legacy that’s beyond just making records and touring.”

The pair announced their final show together in August at the Minnesota State Fair. “This is our last official concert as Florida Georgia Line… let’s see what we got left in the tank,” Hubbard said.

While there is always a possibility of a comeback and/or reunion, both are busy with their own solo projects. Following the release of his Dancin’ in the Country EP in August, Hubbard will release his solo album next year. He previously worked with Tim McGraw on the hit single, Undivided, as well as on My Way with breakout TikTok star Lathan Warlick.

Kelley released his album Sunshine State of Mind in 2021 and has been working on his country musical May We Allwhich is expected to be extended into a movie version. He also formed his own label called Nashville South Records and is part of the scripted comedy-country podcast Uncle Drank, alongside Luke Wilson, Gary Busey, Uncle Kracker and Billy Zane.

Breakup rumours have surrounded the duo ever since their political feud during the 2020 election where both Hubbard, Kelley and their wives unfollowed each other on Instagram.

“I unfollowed Brian Kelley for a few days while we were in the middle of this election and everything going on,” Hubbard said. He also missed the 2020 CMA Awards, where the duo was nominated for ‘Vocal Duo of the Year’.

Over the course of a decade, Florida Georgia Line released five albums and accrued over five million sales. Between 2012 and 2022, the duo achieved 19 #1 singles.
