"I am very excited about this. I really am. I’ve done so many duets over the years, but this one’s going to be very special.”

More Dolly Parton More Dolly Parton

Dionne Warwick has revealed that she and Dolly Parton plan on releasing a new collaborative gospel song titled Peace Like A River

On the American talk show of Tamron Hall, Warwick let slip that she and Parton have been working on the song for a while.

"[Parton] sent me a song that she wanted me to record, and I said, ‘Okay, that sounds like a deal,'” She said.

“She’s such a sweetheart, I know her. And she sent me another song, the one that we’re going to be doing as a duet. It’s a gospel song called ‘Peace Like a River’. She wrote it, and I am very excited about this. I really am. I’ve done so many duets over the years, but this one’s going to be very special.”

While there is no set date for the release of the new tune, Hall does state that Warwick and Parton will be releasing the new song sometime in January.

It seems that loose tongues seem to be a commonality between these two, as recently Dolly Parton admitted that she has a secret song locked in a time capsule that won't be released until she turns 99 years old, on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Kicking off the talk show, host Kelly Clarkson asked the country star if it was true that she wrote a secret song that nobody else has ever heard, that lives in a time capsule.

Parton replied: "Yes, and that has drove me crazy!”

Explaining further, she says, "I have written a song that nobody’s going to hear ’til I’m 99 years old and I might be there, I might not be, but it’s when we did Dollywood, we reworked that, and we put it in a time capsule to be, you know, to be opened.

"You have no idea how much that has bothered me! I wanna go dig up that song cause it's a really good song!

"I don't know whose damn idea that was," she says with a sly grin.
