Popular American country singer Chris Young is preparing to release his ninth album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, teasing it as his “largest album to date”.

He announced the forthcoming release on X (formerly Twitter) this week, writing, “My ninth studio album, 18 tracks, my largest album to date. Young Love & Saturday Nights is yours on March 22nd.” Perfect timing for his headline slot at CMC Rocks.

He added that options to pre-save (and hopefully pre-order for collectors of physical media) will be available on Friday, 12 January, with a new song called Right Now unveiled on the same day. We’ll amend this article when the pre-save link is live, and we have more information about the album.

In the meantime, Young has shared a rocking teaser for Right Now to tide us over. You can check that out below.

The album announcement follows the release of the Young Love & Saturday Nights single and comes ahead of Young’s tour of the same name, which kicks off in Tulsa this April.

Along with Lainey Wilson and Tyler Hubbard, Chris Young will be in Australia this March to headline the country music festival extravaganza, CMC Rocks. The festival runs over the weekend of Friday, 15 March, to Sunday, 17 March.

He’s also announced a bunch of solo headline dates with support from special guest Bryan Martin.

Young Love & Saturday Nights (the single) interpolates the David Bowie classic, Rebel Rebel and is the perfect song to signal a new era. Young will bring his show to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, 11 March, and Melbourne’s Forum on Wednesday, 13 March.

Young last toured in Australia in 2015. Since then, he’s released three more albums – the festive It Must Be Christmas in 2016, Losing Sleep in 2017, and Famous Friends in 2021.

In addition to the album releases, Young has amassed 13 #1 singles, 24 Gold and Platinum releases in the US, gained multiple ACM, AMA, CMA and Grammy nominations and won Performance of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards.

The 20-track Famous Friends features the #1 title track starring Kane BrownTown Ain’t Big Enough with Lauren Alaina and At The End of a Bar with Mitchell Tenpenny.
