Miranda Lambert is releasing a feature-length film to complement the release of her new album The Marfa Tapes with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. The Marfa Tapes Film will stream Sunday, May 9 (10am AEST) and fans on Facebook will get a first look for the first 24 hours via Lambert’s official Facebook page.

Directed by Spencer Peeples, the film features live performances set against the West Texas backdrop, candid interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage captured during the five-day album recording sessions in Marfa, Texas last November.

Lambert announced the album collaboration with the fellow Texan singer-songwriters following the release of the first single In His Arms, as well as its accompanying music video, back in March.

Lambert shared the news on social media, with the album set for release on May 7.

She wrote, “They’re raw. You can hear the wind blowing, the cows mooing… We wanted you to feel like you were right there with us, sitting around the campfire, escaping the world, disappearing into the music."

Fans can get a first look at the upcoming film with the release of Tin Man. This new music video showcases Lambert performing the 2017 ACM 'Song of the Year' winner, which she penned with Ingram and Randall, with nothing more than an acoustic guitar against the sprawling, expansive terrain.

Lambert’s last studio album was her GRAMMY and CMA nominated Wildcard, released in late 2019, which included her number one single, Bluebird. She featured on Barry Gibb's duets album, Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook Vol. 1 and also recently released a collaboration single Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home) with Exes and Ohs pop-star, Elle King.
