The 37-year-old Grammy-nominated singer announced the arrival of Grayson Clark via social media on February 8.
“The hardest and most beautiful thing I have ever done. Welcome to the world Grayson!” she wrote with the Bible verse, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. – Psalm 30:5”

Grayson is the first child for Guyton and her husband, Grant Savoy. The couple tied the knot on June 26, 2017 in Kauai, Hawaii.
The name 'Grayson Clark' is an amalgam of names, in ode to his father, late grandfather and Grant's late best friend.
In an interview with Sounds Like Nashville, Guyton said, “My husband’s name is Grant and his best friend’s name is Tyson. He lost his best friend Tyson to a horrible car accident. He passed away at Thanksgiving of last year and so we combined their names Grant and Tyson, so Grayson. And Clark is his Dad’s name, who passed away about 14 years ago, so Grayson Clark. I feel like it’s so regal.”
Guyton first announced her pregnancy back in August 2020.
“Even in times of darkness, like the ones we as a society find ourselves in today, God always finds a way to shine His light on the beautiful side of life, like the miracle of life itself," she wrote. “My life completely changed in an instant. Literally nothing else matters. I’m so excited and terrified all at the same time. I have no idea what I am doing but am so thankful that God chose me to be this baby’s mom.”

Guyton is the only black female country singer on a major label in Nashville and last year became the first black woman to perform solo at the ACM Awards. She is also the first black female solo artist to receive a Grammy nomination in a country category for the song, Black Like Me.
Her third EP, Bridges was released in September last year.
