Messy by Dozzi – Song of the Day

14 September 2021 | 11:58 am | Mallory Arbour

According to sister trio, Dozzi, their latest single, Messy, “tells a story of romance, from a women’s perspective” and is our Song of the Day!

Dozzi is an Australian band made up of three sisters – Andrea (mandolin and vocals), Jesse (guitar and vocals) and Nina (keyboards and vocals) – who live in Nashville. According to Dozzi, their latest single, Messy, “tells a story of romance, from a women’s perspective” and is our Song of the Day! Co-written by Dozzi and Summer Overstreet, Messy was co-produced by Jesse Dozzi and Alex Keil.

They say, “We actually wrote this song a few years ago and have playing it at our live shows for a while now. We were waiting for the right time and the right team to bring this to life and gosh are we glad we did.”

Following the filming of their first underwater music video with the team at CreateWell LLC, Andrea broke her tibia in two places. To help with the unexpected medical bills and loss of income, a good friend has started a GoFundMe page so that fans can her out.

Since their first Nashville-based release Worth the Wait EP in 2019, Brisbane sister trio, Dozzi has built a solid platform in their new home city. The EP was recognised in Rolling Stone and Billboard, and the girls are now regular performers at downtown venues such as Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row and Blake Shelton's Ole Red and have performed alongside artists such as Ashley McBryde, Mitchel Tenpenny and BRELAND at events and festivals across the USA.

They previously collaborated with Drew McAlister on the track, I Need You Tonight in 2013.
