Kelsea Ballerini opens up about Morgan Evans marriage

Kelsea Ballerini is having one hell of year from collaborating with Halsey, to getting the inside track on Taylor Swift's incredible 'folklore', and battling bats. But her favorite moments this year have been with her Aussie husband Morgan Evans.

Speaking to Access overnight, Kelsey Ballerini opened the curtains on their relationship a little bit; revealing that their marriage in 2017 was a bit of a leap of faith for the This Feeling.

"It was like an instant connection. I've always loved the idea of relationships and love and all that but I wasn't sure I wanted to do the marriage thing. My parents got divorced so I was kind of always really aware of that. As soon as I met him, he was just careful with the way that I love. And I always felt very safe loving him," said Kelsea Ballerini.

That connection is easy to see between the pair, their love documented through all their music including Morgan Evan's record-breaking hit Day Drunk.

"I wrote (Day Drunk) about Kelsea's birthday a couple years ago. I had this whole day planned out for her. We were gonna eat here, we were gonna go do this. She got home from the road and she was dead tired. She came in and said, 'Do you mind if we skip that stuff and close that blind and maybe open the champagne?'" Morgan Evans told Taste Of Country.
