Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn surprised fans when their second daughter, Kodi Jane, was born on December 30. The couple – who are already parents to two-year-old Kingsley Rose – announced her birth on New Year’s Eve, after keeping quiet that they were expecting.
“New year, New family member,” Brown revealed on social media. “Welcome to the family Kodi Jane. Secret [is] finally out.”

The social media post garnered well wishes from fans and fellow country artists alike, including Jimmie Allen, RaeLynn, Russell Dickerson, Jordan Davis and more.
In early January, Katelyn shared a post explaining why she chose to keep her pregnancy away from the spotlight. "These past 9 months have been so sacred and special to me. Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I've ever made. Soaking in special moments with my daughter and husband without the influence of social media and outside world made this time that much more intimate and unforgettable."
“Thank you for all the kind messages and love,” she added. “I am so grateful and blessed to be these little girl’s mama and cannot wait to raise strong, confident, sweet little ladies with you @kanebrown_music … you are the man we all look up to.”
The following day, she shared a video montage of never-before-seen pictures documenting her growing belly. Kodi weighed 7 lbs., 9 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. The couple married in October 2018.
Brown will co-headline CMC Rocks QLD alongside Brad Paisley and Morgan Evans in September.
