More Blake Shelton More Blake Shelton

Joe Nichols’ forthcoming album release – his tenth – will feature a duet with Blake Shelton.

Due out February 11, the 13-track Good Day For Living album also includes a rendition of Chris Janson’s Hawaii On Me, as well as earlier-released songs, I Wanna Be Your Tonight, Screened In and Home Run. The entire project is a nod to Nichols’ traditional roots, showcasing his smooth baritone voice.

Nichols says, “For the first time in a long time, I don’t feel any pressure. I’m around great people. I’m the type of person who’s always striving for more, but I’ve reached a place where I’m grateful for everything I’ve accomplished so far. It’s been such a good run. I feel at peace, and that has freed me up to make new music that’s very honest.”

The news of the Mickey Jack Cones and Derek George produced album comes with the release of the title track, Good Day For Living. Written by Dave Cohen, Bobby Hambrick and Neil Mason, the feel-good track celebrates life’s sweet moments as one slows down to appreciate the simple things.

In his twenty-five year career, Nichols has racked up a half-dozen #1 singles and ten Top 10 hits with a sound that blurs the boundaries between country music’s past and present. It’s an approach that has earned Nichols three GRAMMY nominations, a CMA award, an ACM trophy, a CMT ‘Breakthrough Video of the Year’ Award as well as multiple gold and platinum-certified records. Good Day For Living is his first full-length project in four years, and follows his critically acclaimed 2017 album, Never Gets Old.
