Jimmie Allen signs on as Executive Music Producer for Netflix Series

Jimmie Allen, singer, songwriter, music executive and author, has signed on as the executive music producer for a new Netflix sports documentary series.

Jimmie Allen, known already as a singer, songwriter, music executive and children’s author, has signed on as the executive music producer for a new Netflix sports documentary series.

Titletown High is set to debut on August 27 and will feature the previously unreleased Allen song, Big in a Small Town as the show’s theme song. You can take a sneaky listen here.

Allen announced the exciting news via social media, “It’s full of football and drama, it’s a good one!!! … Can’t wait for y’all to watch.”

According to Valdosta Daily Times, Titletown High follows Georgia high school football team, The Valdosta Wildcats through its first season under controversial head coach Rush Propst. The show will concentrate on the daily lives of the members of the team–including stories of romance, rivalries, and real life.

Directed by Jason Sciavicco, the creator of the 2006 MTV reality show Two-a-Days, the series also features players Amari Jones, Jake Garcia, Grayson Leavy and Jacarrius Peak as well as students Lenley Gross, Zoey Watson, Morgan Miller, Malia Spells, Kendall Haden and Kaili Spells.
