First debuted during a live performance at the CMT Awards last week, I Quit Drinking, the emotional duet between Kelsea Ballerini and Nashville-based alt-pop group LANY is our Song of the Day!

Written by Kelsea, Paul Klein, and Nicolle Gallyon, the song is a break up anthem about quitting drinking because it brings back too many memories of a past relationship.

Kelsea says, “I’ve been a fan of LANY for a long time. It was really amazing to work together on I Quit Drinking. We’ve all got Tennessee in common, and we found this sweet spot between rock, pop, and country for the song. It’s a little different for the both of us, and I can’t wait to play it live again.”

In the music video, the singers take to the hills of California, with Kelsea walking among the mountains in an elegant orange gown. As the sun goes down and rain starts to fall, the country star is met by LANY frontman Paul Klein, who is just as emotional over a breakup as she is.

Kelsea has a career total of ten gold and platinum singles certifications and total streams exceeding two billion to date.

She released her self-titled third full-length album, which features the singles Homecoming Queen?, The Other Girl with Halsey, Hole in the Bottle and Half of My Hometown featuring Kenny Chesney.
