Hail Mary by Kieran Lancini – Song of the Day

8 April 2021 | 12:29 pm | Mallory Arbour

Our Song of the Day is Hail Mary, the third single from London-based, North Queensland-born country music singer/songwriter Kieran Lancini

After relocating to the UK in 2006, North Queensland-born country music singer/songwriter Kieran Lancini thought his music career was a thing of the past. It was after returning to Australia in 2019 to perform at the Star Maker 40th Anniversary show (a title which he won back in 2002) that the performer in him was well and truly awaken.

Our Song of the Day is Hail Mary, his third single since his relaunch as an artist and one that was co-written with Nashville-based Aussie hit-maker, Phil Barton during some darker days of the pandemic.

Kieran says, “I, like everyone else, was feeling quite low during the pandemic with the daily deaths rising in the UK, feeling completely helpless. I found myself trying to make sense of it all – searching really quite deep in myself to remain positive and see that light at the end of the tunnel. This is what this song is about – hope – and finding that inner strength which I call a ‘miracle’ to make it through and not being afraid to shout out to the universe that you need a bit of help.”

Hail Mary follows his 2020 singles The Reason, which reached #2 in the UK and #15 on the Australian iTunes Country Chart, and I Need You, which reached #7 on the UK iTunes Chart and #9 on Australian Country Radio.
