The 63rd GRAMMYs have just wrapped up. The show saw history made with Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Mickey Guyton, as country music artists shone.

The 63rd GRAMMY Awards’ main event has just wrapped up. The show saw history made with Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Mickey Guyton as country music shined on the GRAMMYs stage.

Taylor Swift took home the GRAMMY for ‘Album of the Year’ for her surprise album, folklore, making history for becoming the first women to win in the category three times. She previously won with Fearless in 2010 and 1989 in 2016. Only three other artists have earned a three-peat with ‘Album of the Year’ at the GRAMMYs – Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon.

Earlier in the evening, Swift took to the stage for a whimsical medley of songs from folklore and its sister album evermore. Swift performed on the Grammy Awards for the first time in five years, bringing her folklore collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner with her for the first on-stage performance they've done together.

Miranda Lambert ’s Wildcard took home the award for ‘Best Country Album’. She previously won the award for her number one album, Platinum in 2014. She donned a sparkly dress during her standout performance of Bluebird, which was the second single to be released from Wildcard and Lambert’s first to reach number one on the country charts since the 2014 Carrie Underwood collaboration, Somethin’ Bad.

In the pre-telecast, Dan + Shay were awarded 'Best Country Duo/Group Performance' for their collaboration with Justin Bieber on 10,000 Hours. The duo made history with this win, becoming the first artists to win three consecutive times since the category’s inception. Dan + Shay previously won the category in 2019 with 6x-platinum Tequila and again in 2020 with 5x-platinum hit, Speechless.

Mickey Guyton gave a stunning performance of her moving Black Like Me. With this performance, she became the first Black female country artist to perform at the GRAMMYs. She also made history, becoming the first Black solo female artist to earn a GRAMMY nomination in a country music category, but lost to Vince Gill’s When My Amy Prays.

Brandi Carlile won ‘Best Country Song’ with Natalie Hemby and Lori McKenna for their co-written Crowded Table, recorded by The Highwomen. Carlile also sang John Prine’s I Remember Everything as part of the lengthy ‘In Memoriam’ segment featuring tributes to Little Richard, Kenny Rogers, Prine and others who passed away since the last year’s GRAMMYs telecast.

In a tweet Carlile said, “This is the last song our beloved @johnprinemusic ever wrote. It was an unspeakable honour to sing it tonight. Thank you to the Grammys for lifting our hero. Merry Christmas John .”

Lambert introduced Maren Morris as “my Texas gal pal I’ve known since the honky tonk days” before she took the stage, backed by a band that included guitarist John Mayer, on her pop crossover hit, The Bones.
