Golden Guitars announce red carpet and award presenters

There's only one more sleep until the 49th Country Music Awards of Australia – The Toyota Golden Guitar Awards. Earlier this month, we announced who would be performing and now we bring you who be presenting on the pre-ceremony red carpet and the awards.

The night will begin at 5.30pm (AEDT) on the star-studded socially distanced red carpet, hosted by four-time ARIA nominee Jasmine Rae and four-time Golden Guitar Award nominee Casey Barnes.

Award presenters on the night includes Adam Harvey, Allison Forbes, Angus Gill, The Buckleys, Cass Hopetoun, Hurricane Fall, Melody Moko, The McClymonts, Michael Carpenter, The New Graces, Roo Arcus, The Weeping Willows and 2019 Toyota Star Maker Blake O’Connor, with special guests, multiple-Golden Guitar Award winners Ashleigh Dallas and Felicity Urquhart.

The Country Music Roll of Renown will be presented by Tamworth Region Mayor, Col Murray and Tamworth Country Music Festival co-founder Max Ellis. 

Hosted by previous winners Catherine Britt and Andrew Swift; the night will include performances by ARIA Country Award winner Fanny Lumsden, The McClymonts, Travis Collins, Amber Lawrence, Aleyce Simmonds, Kirsty Lee-Akers, Dianna Corcoran, Casey Barnes, Dean Perrett, Luke O’Shea, Melody Moko and Shane Nicholson, and Kristy Cox with Tommy Emmanuel filmed from Nashville.

The Bushwhackers and John Williamson will also both celebrate fifty years of entertaining Australians.

Chairman of the CMAA, Dan Biddle, says the awards are the pinnacle event in the country music industry. "We are proud of the strength of our industry, and the awards are a time that we can come together to celebrate its success and congratulate those who make it what it is. The quality of the hosts, performers, and presenters taking the stage for the 49th Awards is a testament to the quality of work we are producing, and we are excited to kick off what will hopefully be a year of great country music in Australia."

The show will stream live from Tamworth’s Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on January 23 on ABC Landline’s Facebook page, live radio broadcast, and from the Toyota Country Music Festival’s website.
