Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood release stirring cover of A Star Is Born's 'Shallow'

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have released their cover of Shallow from the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born on all streaming platforms. The song first appeared in November on Brooks’ album FUN, which is available exclusively on Amazon Music and at traditional retailers.

Brooks originally performed the song with his wife, Yearwood in early 2020 during a Facebook livestream, which served as the catalyst to record a studio version.

Shallow was written by Lady Gaga, Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando and Mark Ronson, and was originally performed by Gaga and American actor and filmmaker, Bradley Cooper for the musical-drama, A Star Is Born. It is the fourth filmed version of the 1937 film, after the 1954 musical and the 1976 musical.

The film as well as the song received numerous accolades, including eight nominations at the 91st Academy Awards and five nominations at the 76th Golden Globe Awards. The film's soundtrack received seven Grammy nominations, winning four. As of February 2021, Shallow remains the 30th most streamed song on Spotify.
